Successful Deportation Case
Mario entered into the United States on a visitor visa in 1997. He applied for asylum, and his case was referred to an Immigration Judge. He was placed in removal proceedings, and his case had been pending in the Immigration Court for many years. Attorney Camille O. Bowman was able to get his case terminated so he could apply for a green card with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) when his mother's petition became current. Eventually, Mario became  a U.S. citizen. and is now able to travel the world.

Fraud Waiver Granted
Lourdes was granted permanent resident status after 10 years of trying to become a lawful permanent resident (green card holder). She entered the United States on a visitor visa under an assumed name. She later fell in love with a U.S. Citizen and eventually married. In order to get a green card, Lourdes needed a fraud waiver because of her misrepresentation with her assumed name entry. Attorney Camille O. Bowman was able to establish that her husband would suffer extreme hardship if Lourdes had to leave the United States, and USCIS granted a waiver. As a result, Lourdes adjusted her status to lawful permanent resident.

U.S. Citizenship Application Granted
Luis filed his U.S. citizenship on his own. It was denied because of his criminal history. On appeal, Attorney Camille O. Bowman argued that Luis was eligible for U.S. citizenship because the convictions were outside the required five-year period of good moral character, and he had numerous equities making him deserving an approval. The denial was overturned and Luis is now a U.S. Citizen.

Waiver Granted in Removal Proceedings
Nestor applied for U.S. citizenship without a lawyer. The citizenship application was denied because he had several criminal convictions. USCIS then placed Nestor in Removal Proceedings in front of an Immigration Judge. Attorney Camille O. Bowman was successful in arguing that Nestor should he granted a 212(h) waiver to forgive the crimes because his U.S. citizen wife would suffer extreme hardship if he were to be deported. Nestor was able to re-adjust his status to lawful permanent resident through his U.S. citizen wife in conjunction with a 212(h) waiver. Nestor is now in the process of becoming a U.S. citizen.

Removal Proceedings Administratively Closed
Gina, a native and citizen of the Philippines, entered the U.S. many years ago by way of going through the Canadian border. She applied for asylum and was placed in removal proceedings. Because Gina was a good person with no criminal history and has U.S. citizen children, Attorney Camille O. Bowman was able to negotiate with the government trial attorney to file a joint motion to administratively close her case. Gina is living happily together with her family and continuing to strive for her American dream.
